Each session starts with a gentle conversation exploring the themes, intentions, and issues that may be present in your life, followed by a short meditation to attune to how these energies may be present in the body now, and a question to your system as a whole as to what physical touch will be wanted by yourself and your body through the breath and touch session. The session is a collaboration between us, working together to honour and serve your system as a whole.
You remain completely at the centre of this discussion and decision, ensuring you receive the touch, throughout the session, that your body and mind are asking for, and only that. Through empowering your choice and voice we create another layer of safety and therefore more opportunity for relaxation and release. All sessions are fully clothed.
The body holds on to unprocessed emotional images of the past, imprinted into its cells and tissues. The intense emotional experiences from our lives, and indeed from our ancestral genetic line, can impact the health and well-being of our body now and in the future.
Epigenetics is the study of how our experiences and environments affect the ways in which our genes work within the body. Epigenetic changes can happen in response to diet, emotion, lifestyle, behaviour, age and culture amongst other influences.
The process of emotions affecting our epigenetics is under study, and it is widely accepted that the emotions and epigenetics are very closely intertwined.
The unprocessed and incomplete experiences of our emotional past have the power to turn on and off genes that affect many functions in the body. These functions can include the production of hormones that can elicit feelings of fear and stress, and functions of the nervous system, breathing, blood pressure, digestion, amongst many other potential physical and emotional implications.
All epigenetic changes in the physical systems are reversible, just as genes can be turned off epigenetically, so they can be turned on again too, and vice versa. The process of emotional release, experiential completion, safety, holding, conscious touch, and deep breathing all play a significant part in reversing the implications of unprocessed and held emotional histories and their epigenetic responses.
Neuro-Inspire Healing is a simple modality of deep breathing combined with conscious, safe, calm touch. This combination allows the body to deeply relax, and rest into a field of known safety. It is this safety that offers permission for the body to unfold its tensions of holding and fulfil any past unprocessed emotional experiences. Within the safety of this touch, choice and breath new sensations of peace and happiness can be created that aid in the reversal of past epigenetic interference in the genome of the individual.
It is a simple and safe way of allowing the body, nervous system and mind to return to an original state of health and well-being, that is already remembered in the genes of your body.
